I'll make this as brief as possible. God may still be working miracles, but not in the way Jesus did. We read he would go into villages and heal every sick person. The book of Acts gives some impressive healings from Peter and Paul. We don't see any real evidence of anyone after the second century wielding gifts of the Spirit like that. Like you said, only God can give such a command. And if God wants to give that command again, who am I to stop Him? But faith healers today are all charlatans. Prophets today are all charlatans. They use placebo effect, parlor tricks, and cold reading to fool people into thinking they are really "anointed" by God. Jesus' miracles were real. I believe that 100%. But if anyone can do what he did today, prove it. And yes, you can say that by faith. Jesus' miracles were so obvious even his opponents could not deny them. Not so with modern healers and prophets. I believed them for about 40 years before someone said, "Compare their results to Jesus." They all fall woefully short.
